FAQ
Do you conduct pool inspections in South Morang, Greensborough, and other suburbs?
Yes! One Stop Pool Compliance is based in Yarrambat (3091), but we cover most northern and eastern suburbs across Melbourne. While we look after many local properties in South Morang (3752) and Greensborough (3088), our mobile service extends to families and property owners throughout the wider Nillumbik Shire, City of Whittlesea, and City of Banyule regions. No matter where your pool is located across these areas, we can easily come to you with fast, flexible booking slots.
How long do i have to submit my Form 23 Compliance Certificate to my council?
Under Victorian building regulations, once we issue your official Form 23 Certificate of Pool and Spa Barrier Compliance, you must lodge it with your local council within 30 days of the issue date.
- If you are in Yarrambat or Greensborough, you will lodge it with the Nillumbik Shire Council or Banyule City Council.
- If you are located in South Morang, you will lodge it through the online portal for the City of Whittlesea.
What happens if my pool fence or gate doesn’t pass the inspection?
Don’t stress! If we identify any faults with your barrier, Victorian law gives you a 60-day window to complete the necessary repairs and have a final inspection. The benefit of choosing One Stop Pool Compliance is that if the issue is minor—such as a faulty gate latch or a small ground gap—we can often rectify the problem right then and there during our initial visit so you can pass safely on the same day.
How often do I need to get my pool barrier certified in Victoria?
Once your pool or spa is registered with your local council and your initial compliance certificate is successfully submitted, you enter a mandatory four-year cycle. You will need to book a registered Victorian Building Authority (VBA) pool inspector to recertify your safety barrier every four years to ensure that latches, hinges, and fence panels remain compliant and structurally sound.
